Jon booked a dinner at Hide Yamamoto for my birthday celebration last week. Until now, all I knew of teppanyaki was the Singaporean kind you see in food courts, with bean sprouts and black pepper sauce, so one can imagine how new this experience will be to me. 😀
Did a special hairdo that night!
The place was posh and right above the casino at MBS. We got a private seating too.
After too many Sakae chawanmushis, this one takes the cake for being the softest egg custard ever! With a hint of white truffle oil. 🙂
Seafood will never be the same again. I’ve never had a abalone steak before.
This wagyu beef was so tender, it was like tofu in your mouth! 😛 I didn’t see that many antics by the chef, but he set this steak on fire on the pan. Hur hur. 😀
The dessert menu was limited but this looked like a very good choice. They added the candle for my birthday celebration.
Overall, a very enjoyable gastronomical experience. What’s most important was I had my darling hubby dining with me! Thank you, hubby, for all of this! 🙂
