my weekend in a nutshell

Lotsa people getting married these days– have been attending weddings every week!

Went for Jon’s best friend’s brother’s wedding dinner at Capella, Sentosa yesterday. It’s my first time at this 6-star hotel. Nice place, yes… but I thought it would’ve been better if the atmosphere was a tad cosier.

Nonetheless, the food was top class– a gargantuan piece of foie gras (amongst others) for starters, followed by shark’s fin soup, whole stewed abalone with black truffle, apple wood smoked chicken, bird’s nest in young coconut etc. (There were a handful of dignitaries present that night so I’m guessing it’s for their sake.) Felt like a complete food noob but thoroughly enjoyed myself.

The bridal suite is a mini 3-room villa with a private pool… kinda like those in Bali. Gee whiz.

Missed my Japanese language exam the morning after cos I was too tired…

Convocated yesterday for Graduate Diploma in Family Medicine. The ceremony and gala dinner was held at Grand Hyatt hotel with the Minister of Health in attendance. The ceremony itself was a quick affair. Skipped the gala dinner.

I’m just glad I got my cert. 🙂

Congratulations on convocating! What is family medicine btw? I myself am from the scientific field but I’m more of a chemist than anything else. =S

      Dear Roxanne,

Family medicine is essentially primary care, the first-line in medical help most people seek. =)

I checked out your blog! Really nice design.

      Best regards,
