Note: these photos are hardly edited at all, which explains the less-than-doll-like faces. 😀 I recently read an article on Diva Asia on how drastically edited some bloggers’ photos are, such that they look very different in real life. (Hee, just to warn ya: people also tell me I look different from my photos– I’m prettier in person. 😛 )
By the way, I was walking around Clarke Quay today when I saw a belly dancer at a Persian restaurant. She’s not quite the looker, being rather well endowed in the midriff region but nonetheless, sporting the skimpy belly dancer’s costume. My friend joked, “So that’s why they call it belly dancing– a dancer with a belly.” Contrary to what others may say, I applaud this lady’s undaunted confidence in herself. At the end of the day, it’s sad not to be proud of what you have, of who you are and flaunt it as it is. Why hide your true self behind pictures that don’t reflect you at all? You’ve got it, flaunt it.
And the first step is to believe in yourself.
